We like to think of Fireflies as a community space that likes to reinvent itself.
Sometimes there are tables, sometimes there aren’t. Sometimes it’s filled with music, sometimes with quiet conversations.
If your idea brings people together, we’ll help the space adapt around it.
-
If you’re curious about hosting something at Fireflies, just say hello !
We’d be happy to show you around, hear your plans and explore what’s possible together. No pressure, no hard sell—just a good conversation.
-
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all events or renting out a beautiful room and stepping away. We enjoy understanding your idea, introducing you to the right people, adding thoughtful little details and making sure the space feels like it belongs to the experience.
You’ll notice that people don’t rush out the moment a workshop/event ends. They stay back, talk to strangers, flip through books, play the piano, help stack chairs or simply sit around a little longer. We think that’s a good sign.
For us, the event is never the end goal. It’s just the reason people found each other.

Sometimes a book launch , cultural workshop, community dinner and a private celebration — all need different things—and that’s how we like to approach them.
Once we understand what you’re planning, how many people you’re expecting, and whether you need us to help curate the experience, we’ll put together a quote that feels fair and transparent.
The conversation always comes before the quotation..

Every book begins in solitude. This one deserves to be celebrated together.
Join us for the launch of :
Solitude Finds a Voice by C. K. Jena.
-
Solitude Finds a Voice is a collection of short stories that uncovers the extraordinary within the ordinary. Through relatable characters and everyday moments, the book explores loneliness, resilience, relationships, and the subtle contradictions of contemporary life. Thought-provoking yet deeply human, it invites readers to pause, reflect, and discover new perspectives on the world around them.
-
C. K. Jena discovered writing later in life, after a long career in the corporate world. Inspired by everyday observations and shaped by personal loss, solitude became both his companion and his muse. What began as a deeply personal journey of reflection gradually evolved into a body of stories that have resonated with readers for their honesty, warmth, and quiet insight into modern life.
-
Before the first page begins, there is a woman by the water.
She isn’t a character from the book.
She is the reason the book exists. The watercolour cover art was created in collaboration with Fireflies Studio by artist Siba Sankar Das, following a series of deeply personal conversations with author C. K. Jena.
What emerged wasn’t a literal illustration of the stories inside, but a quiet tribute to the woman whose absence shaped them. Held forever in watercolour— with a gentle, calm, luminous and enduring presence.

Some stories begin with a book.
Ours began with a campfire. We first met Mr C. K. Jena during one of our camping events at Debrigarh. Before long, the age difference disappeared and a beautiful friendship blossomed between him and our friends at Coffice.
Mr. Jena would often stop by with sweets and gifts, share a meal, or simply spend an hour talking over coffee and corruption ! When he told us he had begun writing, we encouraged him to keep going. Watching Solitude Finds a Voice grow from an idea into a manuscript felt like watching a friend rediscover his own voice.
When it came time to give the book a face, we introduced him to our friend and watercolour artist, Siba Sankar Das. What followed was not just a collaboration, but a deeply moving creative journey that gave birth to the cover you see today.
And when the manuscript was finally ready to meet its readers, Mr. Jena had only one wish—that it be launched at Fireflies. We couldn’t have imagined a more meaningful way to celebrate this journey. So here we are, bringing together friendship, art, stories and a book that found its home long before it found its audience.
